Restaurants Seita and Northern Lights
authentic and home-made food
Our restaurants in Äkäslompolo, Ylläs, are famous throughout Lapland for their extensive buffet that never compromises on quality. In our traditional Seita restaurant we have an open fireplace and a hand-carved log wall from our early years. The restaurant is unique in itself - the artifacts hanging on the old logger's wall tell tales of days gone by.
In Northern Lights Restaurant (built in 2018) we have a fireplace and big windows facing North. There is a good possibility to admire Northern Lights while dining. With the Northern Lights restaurant we got our own tableware, which was designed and manufactured in cooperation with the well-known Lapland ceramics company Pentik.
The restaurants are also available for catered events. Our restaurants are wonderful places to celebrate weddings, birthdays or other events!
appreciate the nature
Our kitchen recycles glass, metal, cardboard and paper as well as biowaste. Due to long distances, biowaste is not generally collected in Lapland, but we have own composters in yard which are used all year round.
Our kitchen uses only meat from Finland and local berries like lingonberries.
Products that contain gluten are processed in the same space.
Seita hotel breakfast
The Seita Hotel’s breakfast is extensive and tasty and it is served daily during the high season. Breakfast includes long-stewed porridge, hot dishes, homemade products like omelette, rolls and buns / pastries.
You can also join us for breakfast even if you are not staying in the Holiday Resort Seita. Breakfast is served when the hotel is open. Welcome!

We offer lunch for groups that have made the order in advanced.
Seita hotel dinner
Dinner includes several salads, multiple main courses (meat, fish, and vegetable options) with side dishes and a dessert with coffee or tea. We take into account any allergies/special diets reported in advance.
We organize weekly, mostly on Wednesdays, a Lapland dinner with sautéed reindeer.
Dinner is served when the hotel is open.
Smoke sauna
The best you can offer to your guests!
Our traditional smoke sauna is built from over hundred-year-old logs, which we heat if ordered. The gentle warmth of the steam relaxes the body and mind, easing your muscles and setting your thoughts free. In front of the smoke sauna is an ice hole and the water is ice cold round the year.
We set the table in the sauna's comfortable and cozy fireplace room with drinks and delicacies from Lapland as requested for the occasion. The smoke sauna area is covered by our beverage licence, which due to Finnish regulations means that the catering must be agreed upon ahead of time. It takes 6 - 7 hours to heat the smoke sauna, depending on the playful moods of the weather. After three hours of warming up, the stones on the stove glow soft red. When the glow of the coals has faded away, our sauna master takes care of the final touches to make the sauna ready for you. The sauna still needs to be aired out for an hour before it is ready for you to step in its' warmth. There is a frost limit to the heating of the smoke sauna.

Price 300 € + 15 €/person (additional hours 50€/starting hour)
The minimum price for heating the sauna is 360€. The price includes saunas heating, private three hours sauna time, towels, a dip in the ice hole, juice and water as a refreshment.
Hot tub
Our outdoor tub is just outside the sauna and can seat up to 8 people. Enjoy the contrast of the crispy cold air and the warm water while admiring the sky above you. If you are lucky, you may even catch the northern lights blazing across the sky with the stars twinkling around them. Warming up the tub's water takes several hours - especially in the winter, so please reserve well in advance. Sauna near by the lake: here.

Lappish Hut
Our yard's pearl is a traditional Lappish hut, which is unique and authentic place to spend weddings and other important celebrations.
The hut itself is already an exquisite experience, but to make your event even more perfect you can end it in our smoke sauna.

- A warm Altan stone floor and a large brick fireplace that both warm guests and create an authentic atmosphere

Seita Hotel's meeting room and Northern Lights cabinet
You are welcome to organize events in Seita hotel's meeting room or in Northern Lighst cabinet/restaurant. There are no distractions and all the services you might need are right there. The facilities are safe for meetings on confidential issues, such as the planning of financial statements and new marketing campaigns.
Meeting room price includes equipment, water to drink and a final cleaning up. If you want you can pre-order the caterings to be brought inside the meeting room. Ask more details and an offer info@seitahotelli.fi.
